Xiaomi’s Official social media handle has announced a conference on August 25, along with a picture of an all-metal phone in the post. The phone could be the next iteration of the Redmi Note series, probably the Redmi Note 4. The caption in the picture “Full metal age” also points towards an all-metal body phone.
Following these teases, today the company also posted another poster with Liu Shi holding an all-metal device. Taking a look at the pictures, the phone seems to be a 5.5-Inch device, which means that the phone is more likely the Redmi Note 4.
From previous leaks, it is known that the Redmi Note 4 will feature a 5.5-Inch 1080p screen, the MediaTek Helio X20 pricessor clocked at 2-GHz, 2/3GB of RAM, 13-MP rear camera, and an 8-MP front facing camera, and all of this powered by a 4000mAh battery, and would be priced at 899 Yuan (Roughly $140 USD)
It is also speculated that Xiaomi might be partnering with China Mobile to offer some kind of subsidy on their phones. However, nothing has been confirmed by either Xiaomi, or China Mobile about the partnership.
