Refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note7 gets FCC certified

The Galaxy Note7 is being reborn. Samsung is inching closer to a relaunch after the device received FCC certification. A listing by the Federal Communications Commission appeared with model numbers SM-N935KOR, SM-N935K, SM-N935L, and SM-N935S. We know the refurbished Galaxy Note7 is behind this codename since we already reported a rumor about the same model name two months ago. Normally the models ending in K, L and S are destined for the Korean market, so it seems the company's homeland will be the first to get it. The device is expected to have Exynos 8890 Octa chipset with 4 GB...

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 rear panel leaks

Xiaomi's Mi Mix lineup, the one that started the bezelless craze, is about to get a new member - Mi Mix 3. A photo of the rear panel appeared, suggesting the new phablet might have a dual vertical camera setup on the back. The panel looks a lot like the back of the iPhone X but with a fingerprint scanner and a "Mi Mix designed by Xiaomi" slogan on it. This is quite an early leak and this might be just one of series of prototypes Xiaomi is working on for the next Mi Mix flagship. The manufacturer has introduced two completely different designs of vertical camera setup: two lenses...

Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro starts receiving latest security update

Just a few days after it was launched in India, the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro has started receiving an update in the country. Weighing in at around 35MB, it's basically a security update that bumps the Android security patch level to April 1. Aside from the latest security patch, there's currently no information on exactly what other changes (if any) the update brings along. As is usually the case with OTA roll outs, it may take some time for the update to hit your device. Meanwhile, if you feel impatient, you can manually check for the update by heading to your handset's Settings...

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) gets Oreo two months ahead of schedule

Back in the summer, Samsung said some devices that are over two years old will receive the Android Oreo update, starting December with the Galaxy J7 Neo, followed by over ten phones in January 2019. One of the devices on that list was the Galaxy A9 Pro (2016), but it turns out some units in Vietnam are already receiving the new OS. The OTA package is 2.09 GB in size, which might be troublesome for users that are already nearing their 32 GB storage capacity. The rollout is in stages, so it might take some time to reach everyone across the globe. The new Android Oreo 8.0, topped with...

Moto Z2 Force shown in leaked renders and video, won’t be exclusive to Verizon

The original Moto Z Force from last year was exclusive to Verizon, but its successor won't be. That's according to famed leakster Evan Blass, a.k.a @evleaks. He says the high-end smartphone will also be sold by T-Mobile, for example. This would be a welcome change in Motorola's US strategy, and should help it sell more units. What's more, Sprint is also said to receive at least one high-end Moto-branded phone in 2017. We already know that there's going to be a Moto Z2 this year too, and that will obviously serve as the successor to the Moto Z. The Z2 Force should pair top of the line specs...
