The phone is ungraded CPU version of Redmi 4, which have well known Snapdragon 430.
Now Redmi 4X sports Snapdragon 435.
So what is the differents?
Well the new CPU supports double network speed (WiFi and mobile) compared to Snapdragon 430.
Also in theory it should spare the battery life.
But lets check the new design closer.
The Redmi 4X is present in Cherry Pink, Champagne Gold, and Matte Black colours.
The display is 2.5D curved and looks very fashion and modern.
The back is metal and this phone is in very nice champagne color.
On it is located the fingerprint sensor and and 13-megapixel rear camera (Samsung) with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and monochrome LED flash.
The bottom and top part are plastic but they are the same color and in my opinion it is better for signal reception.
On the bottom the located micro USB port and microphone and speaker.
On the top we can find 3.5mm headset jack on the left, IR sensor in middle and second microphone next to it.
On the left side is the SIM/micro SD slot which support uo to 256GB!
The phone as you already know from other Xiaomi reviews can use 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM and 1 SD card.
On the right side we can see power button and volume up/down buttons.
Redmi 4X measures 139.2×69.6.x8.6mm, and weighs 150 grams.
In hand it I can feel it really nice like premium phone, maybe because of the new design with rounded edges.
Redmi 4X comes with 5V/2A charger and charging the phone takes 10 minutes to charge 8% power, in 30 minutes, charge 20%, in one hour, charge 41%, and in 170 minutes, it can be charged full.
The phone runs MIUI 8.2 stable Android 6 multi-language . Italian language of course exist.
But let see the test results:
The results are not surprising.
It’s a mid-range smartphone with great price.
Now let check Geekench scores.
Again nothing surprising
Anyway when I play NOVA 3 i feel some lag.
So this phone is not gamer’s one
If you want better better check Redmi 4 Pro/Prime
Playing full HD videos and movies is not problem.
The audio is good via headphones or from the speaker.
Now lets check the images I took.
As always you can click on the images to see them in full size:
You can see the camera make very nice images for a budget phone!
In concluding I can say this is really nice EUR 100 smartphone.
Only one thing I miss – double tap to weak screen.
I dont know why is not included since it is included in cheaper Redmi 4A?
Anyway it’s a good phone and I recommend it.
