The Mi 6 is a year old at this point and yet the Mi 7 exists only in rumors. Here’s an intermediary update – the Xiaomi Mi 6X, which just hit TENAA. Note that this will likely be available outside China as the Mi A2, a sequel to Xiaomi’s Android One phone.
It radically changes the screen from 5.15″ 16:9 to 5.99″ 18:9. It’s still an IPS panel, but the resolution is now 1,080 x 2,160px.
This made the phone significantly taller and wider – 158.9 x 75.5mm vs. 145.2 x 70.5mm. You can think of the “X” as a tilted plus. It’s heavier (166g) but a tad thinner (7.3mm).
