Xiaomi is at MWC this year and it has brought together a number of new devices. Its first smartphone release is the Mi MIX 3 5G which ships with a fresh cpu and a new modem.
The Mi MIX 3 5G has all the stuff you delight in from the usual Mi MIX 3 but swaps out the Snapdragon 845 for the newer and extra powerful Sd 855 cpu. It moreover has the Qualcomm X50 modem for 5G.
The Mi MIX 3 5G is In addition pretty budget. It starts at €599 – just €100 more than the non-5G variant. Xiaomi says it will be available in May on Mi.com, at Mi Stores, and at retail partner stores. It will arrive in Onyx Black and Sapphire Blue.
The Mi MIX 3 5G has a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED with a 1080 x 2340 resolution. It has dual 12MP rear digital cameras and dual front-facing digital cameras (24MP + 2MP). The phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint digital camera and a USB-C port. It sports a 3,800mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4+ and 10W wireless charging. It also has a dedicated Google Assistant button.
The Mi MIX 3 comes with a wireless charger, so the 5G version should come with one too.
