Samsung Q3 guidance is out, new profit records set

Samsung just released its earnings guidance for Q3 2018 and things look pretty solid. According to the report, the company is back on track by smashing another profit record. The projected sales are KRW 64-66 trillion, which equates to around $57.5 billion. These sales have generated KRW 17.4-17.6 trillion ($15.5 billion) operating profit. We still have to wait for the full report to come out but if projections are accurate, the firm is seeing 20% increase in year-over-year in revenue and 15% increase in operating profit compared to the last quarter. New phones of the week – yet another big week

Last week was huge in terms of phone announcements, bringing us 16 new devices, including some high-flyers like the Oppo R15 and vivo X21. Samsung releases three more Ingenius videos mocking the iPhone X

Samsung's ad game has always been strong, the company using its extensive marketing budget to deliver some entertaining clips. The latest of those is the Ingenius series of short clips mocking the Apple iPhone X. They are rarely more than 30 seconds long but are usually fun to watch. Alleged AnTuTu score shows Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S flex Snapdragon 845 muscle

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S may be the first phone with Snapdragon 845, which promises to be a true powerhouse. The phone is code named "Polaris" and an early AnTuTu score is massive. There are a few important things to note here. First, the latest version of AnTuTu was used and the results are not comparable with older versions.
