Oppo R11 Plus officially unveiled: 6″ AMOLED screen, 4,000mAh battery

June 5 was just a preview, now Oppo is unveiling the R11 and R11 Plus in earnest. We already saw the R11, so let's focus on the Plus model now. Not that there's much difference between the two. The Oppo R11 Plus boasts a 6" display - an AMOLED panel with 1080p resolution - and a large 4,000mAh battery (complete with VOOC Flash charging). This dwarfs the 5.5" screen and 3,000mAh (still VOOC-supporting) battery of the regular R11. Beyond this point, things are pretty much identical. You're getting a fast-but-efficient Snapdragon 660 chipset running Android 7.1.1 Nougat painted with Color...

During its IO keynote today, Google reiterated the main new features coming in the Android O release later this year, but also unveiled a couple of new things. Android O comes with the recently detailed Project Treble, which means some of its base has been...

Flipkart hasn't mentioned the Nexus 5X yet, even though the phone is listed on the Google Store. Source

Verizon’s HTC 10 finally gets Android 7.0 Nougat update today

Exactly as announced by an HTC exec yesterday, the rollout of the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the HTC 10 units sold by Verizon is now underway. This has been a long time coming, to say the least. Unlocked HTC 10 units sold in the US have been on the new OS version since last year, while other carriers such as T-Mobile and Sprint have already pushed it to their respective models. And now it's Verizon's turn. Once you get that coveted update notification, make sure you're on Wi-Fi or have enough signal on Big Red's network before you start the download. After you've applied the update,...
