Skype calls are coming to Alexa-enabled devices

Often hidden away in plain sight, there is a lot of movement currently under way in the realm of voice assistants and AI. Companies are starting to predict a pretty bright future for the technology and act accordingly to strengthen their ranks, while the space is still young and fragmented. Case and point, Microsoft and Amazon's recently unveiled collaboration, which has already seen Alexa and Cortana start to interconnect. Today's one of those instances and word on the midranger comes from the GeekBench database, where the phone goes by the much cuter Meri (though obviously Mi 5c is a lot more meaningful). There are three recent entries, one from today, two from a couple of days ago, and those come on top of two more from last...

It will even consider mergers and acquisitions to bolster its efforts with external talent. There is much riding on Bixby - the AI assistant will be on 14 million devices this...
