LG to take LCD orders for the 6.1″ 2018 iPhone

About two weeks ago, a report surfaced claiming that Apple is looking at LG as a potential supplier for its OLED panels and negotiations are in its final phase. It is said that 2 to 4 million units will carry LG's panels and now another industry source confirms those rumors and adds LCD screens into the mix. LG G7 ThinQ and its LCD display A South Korean media reveals that LG will be the only supplier for the 6.1-inch iPhone's LCD panels. Huawei Mate 10 will have “full-screen display”, CEO says while revealing exit from the low-end

Huawei's next flagship phablet will be called Mate 10, just as anticipated. This has been confirmed today in an interview by Richard Yu, the chief of Huawei's consumer division. He also said it would come with a "full-screen display", which we take to mean "near bezelless", joining the defining trend of 2017 in the smartphone world. We've also heard that the phablet would be powered by the upcoming Kirin 970 chipset, but Yu stayed mum on that one. He did however promise...

At its developer conference today, the company teased three different notch designs that it plans to use for its devices in the near future. From the left to the right in the image below, we've got Infinity-U, Infinity-V, and Infinity-O. These are brands for the displays that will incorporate said notches. As you can see, all three are basically shaped like the letters used to name them. U and V are traditional notches,...

Xiaomi Pocophone F1 first image appears

Xiaomi is about to launch a phone that is currently called Pocophone F1, although this might not be the final name of the device. First it was certified for Bluetooth connectivity and then popped up on AnTuTu. Yesterday, a Belarusian site listed some specs, but today we saw another leak, accompanied with a live image, this time coming from Romania, that gives slightly different spec sheet. Clearly one of the sources is wrong, but time will tell which one. The Romanian retailer PC Garage says the Pocophone F1 will have Snapdragon 845 with octa-core CPU and Adreno 630 GPU. RAM is...
