ep51Hi guys,

A new review from me.
This time will be short one

I’ve got today this Meizu EP-51 Bluetooth HiFi Music Sport In-ear Earbuds.

So lets how they perform and what is in the box:

  • Meizu EP51
  • Carrying hard case
  • MicroUSB charging cable
  • Silicone tips
  • User manual (English and Chinese)

As you remember from my previous headphones review, Meizu has great design and quality.
And with Meizu EP51 is the same!
Even the hard paper box looks stylish.

And inside we see very nice hard carrying case along with set of 3 different sizes Silicone tips.
There is also charging cable and user manual.

Technical Specifications:

Dimensions 16 x 23 x 25mm
Weight 15.3 grams
Frequency Range 20Hz – 20KHz

Sensitivity 87dB±3dB
Maximum Power 10mW
Battery 60(90)mAh | Standby time: 400 hours | Charging Time: 2 hours

The EP51 is nicely constructed with aircraft-grade aluminum and incredibly light weigh – only 15 grams.
Inside earbuds there is build-in magnets which keep the earbuds locked together when stored or when worn around the neck without fear of losing them.

The wing tips on the silicone ear buds are designed to fit snugly so you can even run and they wont drop.
EP51 also sport a water resistant coating that protects the headset against sweat.
The cable houses volume control buttons, the built-in microphone, and the Micro-USB charging port covered by rubber plug.

So lets test the audio performance.

In my tests I can conclude that EP51 has very balanced sound.
The bass is not like in Mi Pro but is there and even at maximum volume, there is no crackling or distortion of sound.
I highly recommend using PowerAmp as music player.
The call quality was surprisingly well with the build-in mic.
The wireless reception was also great after 10m signal starts to fade out.

Now about the battery.
In specs are said 60mAh but on the headphone I can see 90mAh.
So what is the correct one I dont know. Will see how the battery performs.
I used them for 3 hours music listening and 24h standby.
So far, so good

EP51 is well crafted device with nice audio performance for the price.
I highly recommend them for sporting people as they are very light and comfortable.
I already used them in the fitness and will do every time because the music in the gym is really bad

So go get one set here.
