According to people familiar with the matter, Qualcomm is reportedly going back to TSMC for the production of its 7nm Snapdragon 800-series chipsets, instead of Samsung. This is actually the second time we hear about that, so there’s a strong reason to believe the rumors. TSMC has been a partner with the American fabless firm for many years until Samsung won over the Taiwanese company for the production of the 14nm and 10nm chips.
