Samsung topped global smartphone sales in Q1 2015, renowned analyst says

There have already been a number of reports from analytics firms like Strategy Analytics and TrendForce stating that Samsung has gained back its podium position in the global smartphone market, defeating Apple. Nokia in talks to sell its Health Division back to its former owner

Nokia has officially confirmed it's in talks to sell its Health Division to Eric Carreel - French edngineer, entrepreneur and Withings co-founder. Nokia bought Withings in 2016 for €170m and made it the center of its Health Division. But that division isn't doing financially well, which prompted Nokia to reassess its future back in February. That reassessment is done and Nokia can't see its Health Division scaling and improving in the future. It's not yet clear how much Eric Carreel is offering for Nokia's health business (and his former company) and no terms have been agreed upon...



Google Home to land in France next month

Google has announced that its voice-activated smart speaker Home will soon be available in France. The device will go on sale in starting August 3 and it will cost €149. Needless to say, the device will speak and understand French. Among its existing markets, the speaker already offers support for French language in Canada, where it launched late last month. Nokia teases new phone for India – probably the Nokia 7.1 Plus

Nokia is prepping to launch a new phone in India soon and the company took it to Twitter to tease it. The promo shows a backdrop of roses, which is illuminated to show the outline of a notched screen with the tagline "Expect More". The likeliest protagonist of the teaser is the Nokia 7.1 Plus, the global variant of the Nokia X7, announced last month in China. However the phone could end up being named Nokia 8.1. The teaser could be referencing the Nokia 7.1 Plus' HDR-compliant display and/or the Night Red variant of the Nokia X7. The picture's about to get rosy with an epic viewing...



Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus incoming, memory variants revealed

Xiaomi launched its Mi Pad 4 tablet back in June and we are already hearing rumors about a plus-sized Mi Pad 4 device. It's believed to be called Mi Pad 4 Plus and will be bumped up to 10" screen while the chipset will likely remain Snapdragon 660. Memory configurations will be two - 4GB/64GB or 4GB/128GB coming in Black or Gold colors. Battery capacity is expected to go up as well as it will have to power up a larger display and the size of the body will allow it. Of course, information is scarce for now but will likely enter the rumor mill so expect more specs to leak in the...
