We may be looking at the sizes of new trio of Apple smartphones for 2017 thanks to a few pictures of molds. While the molds don't really offer up any new information they do show the expected size difference between the iPhone 7s Plus, 7s and iPhone 8. The Apple iPhone 8 - in the middle - with a rumored screen diagonal of 5.8" is slightly wider and taller than the iPhone 7s (expected to have a 4.7" screen) and narrower and shorter than the iPhone 7s Plus (probably 5.5"). Another interesting bit is the vertical dual camera, we've already seen on a purported dummy iPhone. Rumor...
What if the future of bezel-less phones lies not with screen notches but with pop-up mechanisms that offer an alternative placement for the selfie camera (and other components)? It's not so much an "if" as far as Oppo is concerned - its new Find X is a reality. Similar to NEX S from sister company vivo, but with key differences. For one, it goes all in on the pop-up trick - it's not just the selfie camera, but the rear cameras as well, not to mention the structured light 3D facial scanner. We love how open LG is about the upcoming LG G6 flagship. The company uploaded a small cache of videos highlighting key features of the flagship, starting with the dual cameras. LG flexed some hashtag muscle to boast #nobumps #eventhecameraissetback. Next up is a video that asks the uncomfortable question "Too Big?" and isn't very subtle about showing a Galaxy S7 a second later. Then we go to the other extreme - "Too Small?" This time it's an iPhone SE that gets sideswiped. I guess the LG G6 is the Goldilocks of this story - it chooses a screen that's not too big, not...
Essential has released another update for its Camera app, bumping it to version 0.1.091. The update brings along a couple of changes, including YouTube Live 360 support (for Essential 360 Camera) and support for Live 360 with a Facebook Page. The previous update pushed by the company enabled Portrait Mode as well as included reduced JPEG compression and added exposure compensation for all regular camera modes. The company has already made its 360 Camera modular accessory capable of live streaming 360-degree videos to Facebook Live. Source
