Week 30 in review: iPhone 8 renders, Xiaomi Mi 5X and Meizu Pro 7 official

Week 30 is almost over now and it was a fruitful one. It finally brought an end to the numerous Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus leaks when Meizu made the pair official. Xiaomi unveiled MIUI 9 and the Mi 5X and then we have the usual leaks and rumors in the build up to the Fall launches. 8 was the number this week. We saw new renders of the Apple iPhone 8 heard of the expected August 16 announcement of the Nokia 8, while the Galaxy S8 Active and Galaxy Note8 made appearances of their own. Lenovo S5 Pro teasers show a dual camera, question the image quality of rivals

So, they will be different phones after all - the Lenovo Z5 Pro, a quad camera flagship, launch after the Lenovo S5 Pro, which will be unveiled on October 18. The S5 Pro will have only a dual camera on its back. We saw camera samples from the telephoto camera and now we have more details. The info comes from some aggressive teasers. The first one calls out the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite for not having a telephoto camera. Nokia 5.1 Plus spotted on TENAA, some of the specs revealed

The Nokia 5.1 Plus has just stopped by for the usual TENAA certification revealing the key specs of the device. The info comes shortly after the Bluetooth certification hinting at nearing launch. Supposedly the Nokia 5.1 Plus renders Anyway, as usual, the TENAA document lists most of the specs that you'd be interested in. We've got an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz, so we can safely assume it's one of MediaTek's Helio P-series or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600-series chipsets. Honor Beta program launches in the US

Huawei sub-brand Honor has certainly been a busy bee today. Not satisfied only with announcing the Honor 8 Pro and the Honor 6C for European markets, it's prepared something for its American audience as well.
