Vivo’s APEX concept phone said to get official announcement event on March 5

The vivo APEX is definitely one of the highlights of MWC 2018. A large, 5.99-inch, nearly bezel-free OLED panel, complete with a world-first, half-screen fingerprint scanner, a vibrating display speaker and a periscope style, pop-up selfie camera, all make for an impressively futuristic and exciting package. If you haven't done so already, we urge you to check out our hands-on impressions for a closer look. The only real downside to all this was the entirely concept state of the demo unit, gathering gazes at the Barcelona venue. A new leak, however, sounds quite promising for all...

Weekly poll: Razer Phone, hot or not?

Gaming phones have a tragic history - the failure of Nokia's N-Gage and Sony Ericsson's Xperia Play is like an albatross around the neck of each and every new game-centric phone. Is it time to put that past failures to rest? It's been 14 years since the first of those and nearly 7 since the Xperia now. The Razer Phone comes from a company best-known for its gaming hardware - computers, laptops, accessories, if it has RGB lights, Razer sells it. And their tagline is "For gamers. By gamers." Still, we think there's more to this phone than games. The one feature that is strictly...

Oppo A71 (2018) launches with Snapdragon 450, “AI Beauty Recognition Technology”

The Oppo A71 was quietly announced last September, but it looks like it was a short-lived model. That's because today the Oppo A71 (2018) became official in Pakistan, ahead of a probably imminent launch in India. The A71 (2018) is very similar to its predecessor, but packs in a couple of improvements (and, oddly, 1GB less RAM). It has the same 5.2" 720p display, 16GB of expandable storage, dual-SIM functionality, 13 MP f/2.2 main camera, 5 MP f/2.4 selfie shooter, and 3,000 mAh battery as the original A71. It's even got the exact same dimensions as that, measuring 148.1 x 73.8 x 7.6 mm,...

Live photos of the vanilla G5 and press renders of its bigger brother are doing the rounds revealing even more about the devices. We already know the Moto G5 has 2,800 mAh battery but it looks like it is removable. The OS of choice is going to be Android 7.0 Nougat and there is a fingerprint sensor on the front. Moto G5 back • Moto G5 front • Moto G5 fingerprint sensor A 5.2" display with Full HD resolution, Snapdragon 430 CPU and 2GB RAM were other known...

Razer Phone 2 press image reveals design identical to the original

The Razer Phone 2 just appeared in another press image further confirming that the design will remain largely unchanged. We saw a frontal shot of the handset a few weeks back showing off identical appearance to the original Razer Phone. Enough politics for today. pic.twitter.com/5nUc3xdden— Evan Blass (@evleaks) September 28, 2018 Of course, we weren't sure if the render was legit at first but this new image confirms its accuracy. The first thing we've noticed is the new dual camera alignment as of now, the LED flash is in the middle and so is the whole setup. We can't tell if the...
