Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S9 on February 25

Well, here we are. Another year later and another Samsung flagship to be announced. If we're honest, we really thought for a second that Samsung was going to push the Galaxy S9 announcement up to CES. These were nothing more than swirling rumors. Invitations were sent to the media to attend Samsung's Press event in Barcelona, where the South Korean phone maker will announce its newest flagship: the Samsung Galaxy S9 (and S9+). Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) to only get quarterly security updates

Samsung has updated the Security Updates page on its website. While some 2016 models -including Galaxy J1 (2016), J3 (2016), A3 (2016) - have been removed altogether, what's surprising is the recently launched Galaxy A8+ (2018) is in the 'quarterly security updates' section. This means the device won't get monthly updates. The Galaxy A8 (2018), on the other hand, sits in the 'monthly security updates' section. As for other changes, the Galaxy J2 (2018) and the Galaxy Tab Active 2 both have been added to the quarterly list. The Galaxy S9/S9+ flagships haven't yet made it to the list...

T-Mobile starts selling Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, LG V30+, and Revvl Plus

Three new smartphones have launched at T-Mobile today, including the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, LG V30+, and the Revvl Plus. Starting with the Galaxy S8 Active, the device carries a price tag of $820 (excluding tax). Of course, you can also purchase it on monthly payments plans. Next comes the LG V30+, which differs from the standard V30 majorly in terms of storage (it has 128GB internal memory). T-Mobile is selling the handset for $850 sans tax. FCC listing for Samsung Galaxy Note9’s S Pen confirms Bluetooth support

Recently, there were rumors that Samsung Galaxy Note9's S Pen will feature Bluetooth. Well, those rumors have now been confirmed by the US FCC. Documents on the agency's website have revealed the S Pen (model number EJ-PN960) is a 2.4GHz Bluetooth LE device. Sadly, FCC doesn't reveal all the stylus is capable of. However, rumors say in addition to standard features, the S Pen could also let you control music playback as well as trigger a long-range remote self-timer. It could be used to launch Bixby as well.
