LG G7 ThinQ leaked press renders show three colors

We've already seen a leaked press render of the LG G7, however we still look forward to the press event taking place tomorrow where the G7 ThinQ will officially be announced. Some new details about the phone have been uncovered ahead of the event. Starting off with the model number, it will supposedly be the LM-G710. The display has already been fully revealed here. Of course, we're expecting a Snapdragon 845 CPU and depending on the region, we might see 4GB or 6GB of RAM and at least 64GB of internal storage. Rumors haven't confirmed whether the handset will support a microSD...



Honor 8X Max confirmed to carry Snapdragon 660 chipset

Honor officially confirmed that the Honor 8X will arrive on September 5 in two variants - a standard one and an oversized version called 8X Max. Rumor has it, the diagonal on the Max is going to be 7.12" beating even the Xiaomi Mi Max 3. Now a screenshot is circling around Weibo taken from Master Lu Chinese benchmark confirming the Snapdragon 660 on board. It was previously thought that the device will sport either SD636 or SD660 and now we have some solid evidence that it's going to be the latter. How do we know it's the Honor 8X? The model number ARE-AL00 matches the one...



Marshmallow update starts hitting HTC Desire Eye

A few months after leakster @LlabTooFeR revealed that HTC's Desire Eye smartphone will receive the Android Marshmallow update sometime later this year, the update has started rolling out. It comes in two parts, and weighs in a total of 1.6GB. Bringing Android version 6.0.1 along with version 7.0 of the Taiwanese company's Sense UI, the update is reportedly hitting Desire Eye units in the UAE as well as some European countries including Italy. In the United States, AT&T variants of the phone are said to be getting it later this month. (more…)

Snapdragon 830 chips will be produced on a 10nm process

Is it just us, or are rumors starting to come in earlier and earlier these days? Just a quick skim through the news section managed to reveal quite a bit of info on next year's Samsung Galaxy S8. Now we are starting to hear about its internals as well. A new rumor claims that Samsung just signed a deal with Qualcomm, making the Korean giant the exclusive manufacturer for next year's Snapdragon 830 SoC. Furthermore, the chip will be made using a new Samsung 10nm process. This idea has been tossed around the rumor mill before. And if you remember way back in February 2015 Samsung did mention that FinFET is actually easily scalable down to 7nm and that there is no real technical difficulty before the 5nm mark. (more…)

Update fixing Galaxy S8 red tint issue arrives in Europe

After its home country of South Korea, Samsung has started pushing out the fix for the Galaxy S8 red tint issue in Europe as well. Weighing in at 426MB, the update is hitting Galaxy S8 units in the UK, and S8+ units in Germany. Turkey is also getting the update - both S8 as well as S8+ are getting it in the country. The fix, as you might already know, comes in the form of a new Screen edge color balance option in the Screen mode menu, allowing you to adjust the full screen color balance as you see fit. Via
