Images of four Sony Xperias leak ahead of tomorrow’s announcement

Early Monday morning Sony will show off its new phones at the MWC - it could unveil as many as 5 handsets. Official images of four of them snuck out a day early. This first phone looks like the Xperia XZ as does the second one. But check out this leaked image of the XZ Premium. The camera assembly is rotated 90° like the second phone here and unlike the current XZ. So let's call the second phone the Xperia XZ Premium. This leaves the first phone to be the Xperia BlancBright, which is rumored to have a 5.5" QHD screen, Snapdragon 653 chipset and the same camera as the XZ Premium. It...



ZTE Nubia Z9 Max Elite with side-mounted fingerprint sensor receives TENAA certification

Last month, we told you about the existence of the Elite versions of the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini smartphones. Turns out it has just been certified by Chinese certification authority TENAA, adding weight to the expectation that the devices will be launched soon. The listing for the Nubia Z9 Max Elite reveals pretty much what we already know: 1.8Ghz processor, 5.5-inch 1080p display, 16MP rear and 8MP front camera, 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Honor Note 10 appears in JD.com listing

Honor is announcing the Note 10 next week, but the phone was prematurely listed on JD.com, revealing its front side. As earlier images suggested, it will have thin top and bottom bezels, practically no side bezels and a tall screen with no notch. The Honor Note 10 specs were already outed by TENAA, but the Chinese regulatory is yet to issue photos of the device. The massive screen will have an AMOLED panel measuring 6.95" in diagonal. Android 5.1.1 rolling for European Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F)

There's been a lot of angry users complaining about the way Samsung's treated the last generation top-end phablet, the Galaxy Note 4, in terms of updates. While that's the way users are, and updates can never come soon enough, Samsung did take its time with releasing the latest OS version to the last-gen Note.
The rollout started nearly two months ago with a soak test on the SM-N910C version in Russia. Sprint followed suit and released the firmware for the "P" version early this month, and reports out of Poland confirmed that the update for the "C" variant is spreading to more territories. As of now Android 5.1.1 is also being seeded to the SM-N910F version, or the European one. So far, it's been spotted in Sweden over-the-air and is also available via KIES. The build version is labelled N910FXXU1COH4, it's dated August 12, and comes it at a huge 1.8GB. (more…)

The affordable Sony Xperia L1 is the latest phone to come to our office and we are rushing to share our first impressions with you. It certainly lacks the geeky appeal of the Xperia XZ Premium, but it has something few of its entry-level peers posses - a distinctive design.
