Huawei trolls Apple, thanking it “for keeping things the same”

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few hours, you know that today was a big day for Apple. The company announced the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, three new devices that look a lot like last year's iPhone X (from the front, at least). Huawei didn't take long to respond, cheekily thanking Apple "for keeping things the same" through its official Twitter account. Thank you for keeping things the same. See you in London. 16.10.18 #HigherIntelligence #HUAWEIMate20 pic.twitter.com/ZhZHj9Xg3s— Huawei Mobile (@HuaweiMobile) September 12, 2018 Obviously, what the...

Galaxy Note 6 ‘Lite’ to come with SD820 SoC, 1080p display, and 4GB RAM

Samsung is due to unveil its next flagship phablet in a couple of months and we’ve already started seeing rumors and leaks about the Galaxy Note 6. The latest rumor isn’t about the flagship rather it’s about a potentially cheaper variant of the Galaxy Note 6. Said to be called Galaxy Note 6 “Lite,” it may come with slightly different specifications but at a more affordable price point. Thankfully, the rumor also reveals some of the specs of this new variant: SD820 chipset, 1080p display resolution (size remains 5.8-inch), and 4GB RAM. It's funny that with this kind of specs, we're calling it a scaled-down or 'Lite' version, but the fact is that there's no other option given that the rumored spec-sheet of the standard Galaxy Note 6 currently says: Snapdragon 823, 5.8-inch QHD display, and 6 (or even 8) GB of RAM. Needless to say, currently everything is in the air as none of these specs have been officially confirmed. So take all this with a heavy dose of salt.

Leaks reveals FC Barcelona Edition of the Oppo F1 Plus

Oppo's partnership with Spanish football club Barcelona is a few days away from entering its second year. In 2015 it gave us the Oppo R7 Plus FC Barcelona edition, and today we hear that the Oppo F1 Plus (or Oppo R9 as it's known on its home market in China) will get the same treatment. Whether it will be marketed as R9 or F1 Plus (after all it should be available globally, so the latter might make more sense), the limited edition will be available in red or gray color schemes, a new leak reveals. On top of the exclusive paint jobs, the club's logo and an inscription on the back will tell onlookers that it's not just a regular F1 Plus. Which is exactly what it's going to be on the inside, at least if last year's practice continues into 2016. The Oppo F1 Plus has a metal build, 5.5-inch FullHD AMOLED display, Helio P10 chipset and 13MP/16MP camera duo (higher-res selfie shooter, yes). (more…)

Invite says Samsung will unveil its ‘next innovation’ in India today

Samsung may launch a new smartphone in India today. The South Korean tech giant has sent out invites saying their "next innovation" will be unveiled at the event, which will be held in the country's capital city of New Delhi. Sadly, there's currently no confirmation on which device(s) will be unveiled, although reports say the 2017 iteration of the company's Galaxy J series smartphones could be the star of the event. In case you missed, earlier this year, there were reports that Samsung has set an internal target of selling 100 million Galaxy J series smartphones this year. Via
