Google Assistant finally arrives on Android tablets, also expands to phones running Lollipop

The Google Assistant started life as an exclusive to the original Pixel phones. It then got rolled out to every Android handset that runs Marshmallow or a newer version, and now it’s finally time for it to expand some more.

First off, it’s in the process of being rolled out to even older phones, the ones that still run Lollipop. This rollout is ongoing for users with the language set to English in the US, UK, India, Australia, Canada, and Singapore, as well as in Spanish in the US, Mexico, and Spain.
