Live photos of the vanilla G5 and press renders of its bigger brother are doing the rounds revealing even more about the devices. Google Assistant will sound more natural thanks to WaveNet

Google Assistant will start to sound a lot more natural thanks to WaveNet - a new text-to-speech (or speech synthesis) system created by Google's DeepMind branch. WaveNet differs from the traditional Concatenative TTS, which uses a large base of pre-recorded speech by a single voice actor, and Parametric TTS, which uses a computer generated voice, in that it can create individual waveforms using 16,000 samples per second. Poll results: Xperia XZ Premium voted best H1 phone, Galaxy S8 a close second

It was an exciting race, but the Sony Xperia XZ Premium won at the end. The Samsung Galaxy S8 took the early lead, but votes fizzled out quickly while the Sony got more consistent votes and eventually the Xperia took first place. Even a big push at the end for the Galaxy didn't suffice for the win. OxygenOS 4.5.10 is rolling out for the OnePlus 5 with camera improvements, bug fixes

Today OnePlus has started rolling out the latest software update for its newest smartphone, the OnePlus 5. The new release arrives over-the-air as OxygenOS version 4.5.10. As always, the rollout will be incremental. The OTA update will reach a small number of users today, with a broader release expected in the next few days. OxygenOS 4.5.10 doesn't bring any new features with it, but it does focus on squashing bugs, fixing nagging issues, and improving the phone's camera performance.
