New Skagen Falster 2 smartwatch gets GPS and a heart rate sensor, is swim-proof

Skagen is introducing its latest smartwatch - the Falster 2 - about half a year after the first Falster (which was shown off at CES). Despite the short time span between the two, there are several major updates. The case is now swim-proof and swim tracking has been added. There's also a built-in GPS so it can better track runs and bike rides. A heart rate monitor is also on board to be used with the latest Google Fit. T-Mobile confirms Oreo for Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy Tab E

T-Mobile has confirmed the Oreo update for a couple of affordable Samsung devices on its network. The devices in question are the Galaxy J7 Prime and the Galaxy Tab E 8.0, with the carrier's website saying T-Mobile and Samsung have agreed to support Android version 8.0 for these handsets. Sadly, there's no information on when the update would start rolling out, and we are not expecting it to happen any sooner as Samsung is currently focusing on rolling out Oreo for its top of the line phones like Galaxy S8 and Note8. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Emerald Green unveiled

Xiaomi initially launched the Mi Mix 2S in Black or White color, but now it introduced a limited edition Emerald Green variant of the phone, developed in cooperation with Dunhuang Academy. The new color imitates the Jade gemstone that is popular in China and will be available for purchase on August 14. Lenovo K8 Plus with octa-core CPU and 3GB RAM spotted on Geekbench

A new Lenovo device has been spotted in a benchmark listing. The device is dubbed K8 Plus, and has surfaced on Geekbench. The listing in question reveals some key specs including, Mediatek's MT6757CD SoC (Helio P25), 3GB RAM, and Android 7.1.1 OS. Sadly, nothing else is currently known about the handset. However, given that it has started appearing in benchmark listings, we expect to hear more about the phone sooner than later. And needless to say, we'll update you as and when that happens. Via



Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus are now available

Starting with the Xiaomi Mi 5s, the new device has a unibody aluminum design, with a brushed metal finish and curved edges, and antenna lines along the top and bottom that look far too familiar. Along the back is also the new large 1/2.3-inch 12 megapixel sensor with F/2.0 aperture and PDAF that bests even the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S7 edge, if Xiaomi’s slides are to be believed.
