Dual SIM Samsung Galaxy Note8 now going for $625 in US

Last we heard, the dual-SIM variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note8 was going for $700. And now, you can grab a unit for even less. The same eBay seller now has the device listed for $625. The model on offer is factory unlocked with 64GB of storage. Since it's the international variant, it comes with Exynos SoC instead of Snapdragon chipset. Available color options include gold, black, and gray. No information on when the deal expires (there's the usual 'limited quantity available' tag on the listing), so those interested in availing it may have to act fast. Source

That Samsung Galaxy S9+ mini will actually be called Dream-Lite

The Galaxy S9-like phone with dual cameras will not be part of the S-series after all, instead it will be called the Samsung Galaxy Dream-Lite. At least one version of it, SM-G8750, the previous info from TENAA was for the SM-G8850. Unfortunately, the early indications that this device will be exclusive to China seem to be confirmed by the "CN China" label in the Bluetooth certification. Anyway, the G8750 model can be seen over at Geekbench, which points to a Snapdragon 660 chipset instead of an 845 as reported originally. AnTuTu says the same thing. Plus, the screen has 1,080 x...

Google Pixel 2 XL charging reportedly capped at 10.5W

Add one more to the list of complaints regarding the LG-made Google Pixel 2 XL. According to some in-depth analysis the Google Pixel 2 XL charging speed is capped at 10.5W and does not actually utilize the full 18W that the supplied charger is capable of providing. According to user Nathan K., the power draw tops out at 10.5W and because the charging is usually non-linear, the power draw drops even further than 10.5W after 65%. This results in a total charge time of around two and a half hours. The general understanding here is that Google and LG may have taken a more...

Facebook has introduced a couple of new features that the company says will help people better manage their identity on the social network. First up is the ability to issue notifications whenever you show up in someone else's photo. So if you have the feature enabled, and Facebook spots you in a photo, and you're also part of the audience of that image, then you'll be notified about this, even if you've not been tagged in the photo. "You're in control of your image on Facebook and can make choices such as whether to tag yourself, leave yourself untagged, or reach out to the person...

New shots of the Samsung Galaxy S8 emerge

With MWC 2017 now officially over and only a small teaser for the Galaxy S8 pair to note from the venue on the wait is still on. However, there is no shortage of leaks on the upcoming flagship duo. Now, there is a fresh new batch of stills to add to the mix, really crystal-clear ones, at that. It is hard to say with certainty whether this is the 5.8-inch regular Galaxy S8 or its slightly bigger S8+ sibling. Regardless, the difference between the two seems to be a mere matter of scaling, as far as we currently know. This makes the design details, revealed by the photos applicable to...
