Huawei has patented a phone with a foldable display

Huawei has worked hard to stay at the forefront of camera innovation, but it hasn't forgotten about displays. The company has patented a foldable smartphone that opens and closes like a book. The patent was filed with WIPO on September 19 last year and published today. The mechanism looks similar to the Microsoft Surface Book, but seems to leave a much smaller gap. The display - a single panel, rather than two like the Axon M - and should be tablet-sized when fully open. The patent doesn't address how the device will be used when it's closed. There needs to be some way to check...

LG Stylo 4 reaches Cricket tomorrow

The LG Stylo 4 launched in the US at MetroPCS last week, and tomorrow it's also going to land at Cricket. The AT&T-owned prepaid carrier couldn't let T-Mobile's subsidiary have all the stylus-aided fun, it seems. Cricket will sell you a Stylo 4 for $229.99. Keep in mind that a $30 per month plan is required in order to get it at that price. You can pick between black or Metallic Lavender color options. The LG Stylo 4 has a 6.2-inch FHD+ touchscreen sans notch, DTS:X premium surround sound through headphones, an octa-core processor in Qualcomm's Snapdragon 450 chipset, a 13 MP main...

T-Mobile really wants you to ditch Verizon, offers to pay off your iPhone or Pixel

Are you currently a Verizon customer? Well then, T-Mobile would like to have a word. The magenta carrier will be launching a new campaign called #GetOutOfTheRed on May 31. This basically should entice Verizon customers to switch to T-Mobile. How will it achieve that? Well, if you're with Big Red and switch to TMo, the latter will pay off the iPhone or Pixel you bought from Verizon. You have to sign up for the T-Mobile One plan, but you do get to keep that device you already own. You must however add Premium Device Protection to your plan, an insurance option that costs $15 per month and...

LG Harmony launches at Cricket as its version of the K20

AT&T prepaid subsidiary Cricket has launched a new Android smartphone. It's the LG Harmony, and while it may have a more intriguing name, it's basically just this carrier's interpretation of the K20 models we've so far seen at Verizon and T-Mobile. Those K20 variations are themselves based on the international K10 (2017), by the way, if things weren't confusing enough so far. Anyway, the LG Harmony at Cricket comes with a 5.3-inch 720p touchscreen, an 8 MP main camera with 1080p video recording and LED flash, and a 5 MP selfie shooter. The handset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 425...

iPhone X leaks again on video, Apple.com front page updated

Another day, another leaked Apple iPhone X hands-on video. Yesterday we reported a hands-on video of the iPhone X handled at Apple HQ in California. The video had somehow managed to sneak under Apple's radar but it was subsequently pulled down (and then re-uploaded). And today we get yet another short video and two photos of the iPhone X in the wild. The leak was picked up by Twitter user Webastiaan the Sith, and shows the iPhone X's new quick app switching. App switching on iPhone X looks pretty smooth. (via https://t.co/mXpNJhOwzw) pic.twitter.com/Lf9X3twx58— Webastiaan the Sith...
