Instagram to soon allow you to download your own data

Instagram has revealed plans of allowing users to download a copy of their data, according to a report by Techcrunch. An Instagram spokesperson responded to Techcrunch after the latter published an article about the lack of data portability on the service. The details of this feature are yet to be finalized and Instagram did not go into any detail at the moment. Motorola announces $60 Moto Stereo Speaker mod

Motorola has announced the new Moto Stereo Speaker mod for its Z series of smartphones. As with other mods, it is designed to work with all the Z series phones. Unlike the last two speaker mods that were built in partnership with JBL, the Moto Stereo Speaker mod is made by Motorola itself. It features stereo speakers and a kickstand to prop up the phone at an angle in landscape mode, just like the JBL mods. Samsung Galaxy Note7 officially available in 10 countries from today

As expected, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 has been officially launched. In a press release today, the South Korean company announced the commercial launch of the device, revealing a list of countries where the phone is now available for purchase. The list includes the US, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, the UAE and Korea. USA and China reach agreement over ZTE

Leading Chinese telecommunication, equipment and smartphone company ZTE will keep purchasing components from US companies, The Wall Street Journal reported today. As promised by Donald Trump, president of the United States, the seven-year ban will be lifted, but the company will have to make massive changes in its management and pay even more fines. ZTE was initially charged $900 million for breaching trade embargo and selling equipment with Qualcomm processors to Iran. Google Photos will save you data by caching videos you’ve watched

The latest update to the Google Photos app brings 'performance improvements' - show us an update changelog that doesn't say that. This one, however, adds a neat feature - Photos will now cache videos you watch so you can replay them later without using up your data allowance. Since these videos need to be saved somewhere, they'll eat up into your storage, but storage is cheap and data traffic isn't.
