HTC’s Q2 of 2018 results are unsurprisingly bad

HTC released its results for the second quarter of 2018 and they don't look good, nor surprising. In the period spanning April 1 to June 30 HTC made NT$6.8b in revenue (€191m) and an operating loss of NT$3.4b (€99m) and a net loss of NT$2.09b (€82m). HTC's quarters are looking worse and worse. HTC made NT$6.8b in Q2 this year compared to NT$16.1b in the same period of 2017. That puts HTC's numbers for the first half of 2018 at NT$15.6b in revenue and NT$8.3b in operating loss. Pink Sony Xperia Z5 Premium officially announced

Turns out the rumors were true, as the pink color variant of the Xperia Z5 Premium has been officially announced by Sony. This comes exactly three months after the pink Sony Xperia Z5 was unveiled. The Japanese company made the device official in a tweet. Sadly, nothing else - including the handset's price, launch date, as well as target markets - has been revealed. However, rumors say that the phone will at-least be available in some Asian markets including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Mainland China.

Nougat-powered Sharp FS8016 spotted in benchmark listing

A new Sharp smartphone has been spotted in a listing on Geekbench. Listed as FS8016, the device is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC with octa-core, 1.84 GHz processor, and packs in 4GB RAM. The listing also reveals the handset runs Android Nougat (version 7.1.1 to be specific). Sadly, nothing else is currently known about the FS8016. HTC U12 not coming at MWC 2018

HTC will not announce a new flagship at the Mobile World Congress next month. The Taiwanese manufacturer will hold a separate event after the event in Barcelona where the HTC U12 will be introduced, Android Headlines reports. BlackBerry Krypton clears FCC

The BlackBerry Krypton, which is expected to be the next smartphone by the TCT-owned brand, has received certification from the FCC in the US. As is usually the case, the FCC certification doesn't reveal much about the device, however, there are a couple of things to note. Firstly, the name Krypton is clearly mentioned in the filenames.
