Google PhotoScan update brings along ability to turn off glare removal

Google has started pushing out an update to its PhotoScan app that was launched in November last year. The update – which is hitting both Android and iOS clients of the app – brings along a couple of changes, including the ability to turn off glare removal.

“PhotoScan already removes glare from scanned photos, making the process of preserving your printed memories less complicated,” Google says in a blog post. “Yet sometimes, the lighting is just right, and there’s no glare present. For those moments, you can now turn off glare removal and scan in one step.”
