If you already own Xiaomi Mi Band 1S probably you should want to know the difference so lets check them.
Physically Miband 2 is a little bit bigger then it’s predecessor.
But only 1-2mm.
The strap is different too. The way it hold the device is upgraded.
Now the problem with losing it is solved.
Unfortunately now there is now other color options for the start then black.
In Xiaomi Mi Band 1S we have really nice color assortment.
But I was told the new colors will be available from next month. So stay tune
OK, now is the time to pair Miband 2 to my phone using Mi Fit app.
So I just unpair my old band and connect the new one.
All gone OK. I was expected for some firmware update (it was 1.0.0.2) but there wasn’t.
Anyway I went to the near shop to test how accurate the step counter is but I found it’s not counting any steps!
All was zeros!
So I decide to search for a problem in en.miui.com forum.
There I found that there is Mi Fit version 2.1.3!
As I said before I used v 2.0.0 and in Google Play there isn’t newer!
So I removed v 2.0.0 and installed the new one 2.1.3
After launch it the band started to update (firmware 1.0.0.11).
And the step counter worked again!
So here you can download this app version:
From the app you can choose what to be shown on the band screen when you touch the button on it.
The other feature in the app are the same as in Xiaomi Mi Band 1S.
As device is waterproof IP67 I decided to leave Mi Band 2 in glass of water few hours
There wasn’t any problem after that.
At the end I can say that the Mi Band 2 is great fitness gadget for everyone and is good as Xiaomi Mi Band 1S.
You can buy it as always from here
