Test: Android 7.1 makes the OnePlus 3T video steadier

When OnePlus seeded Android 7.1 Nougat to the OnePlus 3T it brought a security patch, stability improvements, bug fixes but also improved video stability. The update changelog didn't specify what OnePlus did to make videos steadier so we decided to give it a test and see what's what. We mounted two OnePlus 3Ts side by side - one running the older Android 7.0 software and the other running the new 7.1. It turned out that the new software-based stabilization makes a difference in 1080p only. 4K clips don't differ at all between the two software versions. We've put together a...

YouTube’s picture-in-picture mode sees wider roll out in US

YouTube has been offering PIP mode for long, but it was only limited to users of its paid Red service. But last month, there were reports of picture-in-picture mode working for a limited number of non-Red YouTube users as well (both in the US and around the globe). Keep in mind that content...

Samsung SM-G892U gets WiFi certified, could be global Galaxy S8 Active

A new Samsung smartphone has been certified by the WiFi Alliance (WFA). The listing reveals the device carries a model number of SM-G892U, and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The 'U' towards the end of the model number further hints that the SM-G892U could possibly be the unlocked global Galaxy S8 Active model - the initial S8 Active, as has always been the case with Galaxy S...

Moto Z2 Play leaks again inside its retail box, announcement coming on June 1

The upcoming Moto Z2 Play is hardly a secret anymore. The Moto Z2 Play will be showcased officially at an event in Brazil on June 1, according to a new leak. The source of this information has also posted the photos you can see below, showing the...
