The weibo coming from China reports that Xiaomi Mi5s will feature a dual camera module that has been supplied by Samsung. At this point, we don’t know how many megapixels are going to be present inside the dual camera sensor, but we figure it’s going to be a 12.3MP one, since both Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge feature the same megapixel count.
There are going to be several distinctions between Xiaomi Mi5s and Mi5, with the most notable one being that the former will have a pressure sensitive display, the same feature that is present in Apple’s iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. However, this will also mean that Mi5s could have a larger price tag than Mi5, but we are also glad to know that the hardware packing inside the smartphone will be more than what Mi5 features.
For example, the rumor suggests that Mi5s will have an upgraded processor, which translates into the smartphone possessing either a Snapdragon 821 or 823 chipset, and supplementing that processor is 6GB of RAM, whereas Mi5 is only limited to 4GB of memory. The resolution, according to the Chinese website is going to be retained at 1080p, which will give users a large benefit in terms of battery life.
The upgraded smartphone could also have a larger battery, and while this may increase the bulk of the device, it is always advantageous to get more talk time out of a smartphone than to worry out about how thick it is.
