Xiaomi Mi 5C has been in and out of the news for a while now but all about the phone’s launch seem to have died down of late. However, the Mi 5C has surfaced again, this time listed on popular online mall Jingdong (JD.com) eliciting thoughts of the device dropping soon.
The Jingdong listing gave the Mi 5C a price tag of 9,999 Yuan which is very likely an error but its appearance on the mall could mean we should be expecting the device soon. It could as well just be another hype considering that the pinecone-powered device was few weeks back listed on Taoboa with a 999 Yuan ($145) price tag and yet we are still waiting for its launch. Also, the Jingdong listing contains a couple of specs the Xiaomi Mi 5C would sport on launch day and they align with previously leaked specs table of the highly-anticipated Xiaomi phone. the Xiaomi Mi 5C is expected to sport a 5.5-inch display with 2.5D curved glass, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a 12MP rear camera and 8MP front-facing selfie shooter. The device is also expected to be powered by a Xiaomi-developed Pinecone processor and would run on MIUI 8 based on Android Marshmallow.
