3D renders of the Samsung Galaxy S8

Galaxy S8There are many rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S8 but it can be hard to tell which are credible. A case maker (which prefers to remain anonymous) sent us 3D renders of the S8 based on accurate schematics.

They are only three images but tell plenty. First off, Samsung has taken the “edge” design forward, the side curves of the display are much more pronounced, pushing the bezels out of sight. Something else was kicked off the front – the Home key. That was moved on screen and the fingerprint reader it used to house was pushed under the glass. (more…)

report says Samsung has decided to enlarge Galaxy S8’s display

note7_renderUp until now, rumors have suggested that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.1-inch display. A larger model with 5.5-inch display was also an educated guess as it was the case with the previous generation. However, if a new report out of South Korea is to go by, the company has now decided to enlarge the display size of both variants.

The report says that the tech giant wants the Galaxy S8 to be aimed at Galaxy Note series customers as well (understandably, because of the Note7 fiasco), and that’s why the display size of the Galaxy S8 models has been increased to 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch, respectively. (more…)

Galaxy S8 release may be sooner because of the Note7’s issues

galaxy s7 edge ren2The Galaxy Note7 recall isn’t doing Samsung any favors when it comes to brand perception. Not only that, but the company’s most recent flagship phablet itself may never recover from the “it’s exploding” headlines. So apparently the Korean company might be thinking of pushing forward the release of the Galaxy S8 in 2017 hoping to erase all memories of the Note7 debacle in the process.

This is just a rumor at this point, and it doesn’t go into any detail – so it’s unclear how much sooner the S8 will be outed than the S7 was this year. (more…)
