Samsung and SK Telecom sign MoU for next-generation technology

samsSamsung Electronics and SK Telecom are leaders in their respective industries and both companies already have a very close relationship. They have now signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop new information and communications technology. At the ceremony President of SK Telecom’s Mobile Network Operations Lee Hyung-hee and President of Samsung’s network business Kim Young-ky agreed that the partnership will be focused on developing new technologies in five crucial sectors.

Both companies will work closely on mobile devices, the 5G network, Internet of Things, wearable technology and Korea’s emergency networks. Lee Hyung-hee believes that this increased collaboration between the two companies will aid the domestic ICT industry to take a leap forward. The Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony took place at one of Samsung’s research and development centers in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.
