Google Pixels running Oreo getting September security update wrongly labeled as Nougat

Google has started pushing out a new update to its Pixel series smartphones, but there’s an issue with it. Several users that have received the update say the update is labeled as Android Nougat (version 7.1.2), while their units are already running the latest Oreo OS.
