Galaxy Note 6 model number list is cleared now, European model included

Galaxy note 6 model number list is cleared now, european model includedThe Galaxy Note 6 is codenamed Grace, which we have known along with the model numbers for some time. However, the list contains two interesting bits – a European variant is mentioned right at the very bottom (confirming rumors), and it seems Samsung will now be using the same model number for all the major US carrier variants. With the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, the company has already simplified things by keeping the same model number for most of the unlocked variants, and it seems it will take things a step further with the Note 6 later this year.

For those unaware, having similar model numbers across different markets means Samsung can push out updates considerably faster than before instead of making consumers wait for weeks for their turn. We all know how messed up the Korean giant’s software policy is, but things are looking up this year. For example, the first major S7 and S7 edge update arrived in various regions around the world within a week, for both the single and dual-SIM versions.

The Galaxy Note 6 will also come in a dual-SIM variety in some markets. As we exclusively revealed, it will also have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. It could also feature an iris scanner, and could be powered by the Snapdragon 823 SoC. How much of all this turns out to be true remains to be seen, but with the excellent Note 5 as a base, the next Note flagship might just turn out to be mighty impressive.
