Second Android 7.0 Nougat beta build for OnePlus 3 is now out

OnePlus 3 5Today OnePlus is releasing its second open beta build of Android 7.0 Nougat for the OnePlus 3. The first testing Nougat release for this phone became available at the end of November, and now, a couple of weeks later, the Chinese company is already providing some improvements to the experience.

Officially called OxygenOS Open Beta 9 for OnePlus 3, the new Nougat-based firmware comes with support for expanded screenshots as well as a bunch of optimizations having to do with the UI in general, but also DPI settings and battery performance. The overall stability and performance of the OS have been improved too, and there are some unnamed “general bug fixes” implemented as well. (more…)

OnePlus 3T will be cheaper in China?

oneplus-3tWhen the OnePlus 3T was announced last week, its US and European pricing information was revealed – the device will carry $439 and $479 price tag for the 64GB and 128GB variants, respectively, in the US, while in the EU the prices will be €439 and €479, respectively.

OnePlus 3 sales in Europe halted from August 9 to September 12

Here’s some bad news if you live in Europe or Hong Kong and were thinking of buying the OnePlus 3 soon. OnePlus has just announced that sales of its latest device will be suspended in 23 European countries as well as Hong Kong from August 9 to September 12.

Here’s the full list of the affected countries in Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain. (more…)

OnePlus 3 sold out in 10 minutes via China’s largest online retailer

OnePlus 3 9Even though the OnePlus 3 flagship was just announced 2 days ago, the much anticipated handset was reportedly being sold out via China’s largest online retailer JD.com in less than 10 minutes. JD Mall is currently one of the 3 online retailers selling the OnePlus 3 handsets alongside OnePlus own webstore as well as Suning.

Due to its overwhelming interest, the retailer has claimed that they had already contacted OnePlus to stockpile more units for the upcoming flash sales.

According to the JD Mall, the next batch of OnePlus 3 will be up for grabs once again on 18/6 this Saturday at 10PM sharp. The device is currently tagged with a price tag of 2,499 Yuan (~$377).

Officially confirmed – no new OnePlus X

OnePlus 3OnePlus’ one and only non-flagship, the OnePlus X, will not be getting a successor, according to company CEO Pete Lau.

Lau said the company will instead be focusing on its flagship series only, which he admitted was neglected last year. The company plans on merging the development resources for the global Oxygen OS and the Chinese Hydrogen OS and will be making an official announcement regarding that later this year. (more…)
