LeEco Le X850 with Snapdragon 821 SoC, QHD display

leeco-le-x850A new LeEco phone has been certified by Chinese telecommunication authority TENAA. Listed as LeEco X850, the device is powered by Snapdragon 821 chipset and sports a 5.7-inch, QHD display.

RAM is 4GB, while internal memory is 64GB. In terms of camera, the phone features a dual rear-camera setup of 13MP and a 16MP front shooter. A large 3,900mAh battery is there to keep the lights on.

LeEco Releases Teaser Poster for Upcoming Event and laugh at Apple

le1LeEco (formerly LeTV) has outed another teaser for their September 21 event, once again taking a dig at the new iPhones – this time seemingly over the lack of fast charging technology.

In case you missed, this is not the first time they’ve taken jabs at the iPhone 7 – one of their earlier teasers (shown below) had mocked the battery life of the new Apple phones.

The Chinese company is expected to unveil the LeEco Pro 3 at the upcoming event. Specs-wise, the phone – according to the rumors and leaks we’ve seen so far – is powered by Snapdragon 821 chipset.

It’ll have two variants. The higher-end model will have 5.7-inch QHD display, 8GB/256GB memory configuration, 13MP dual rear camera, 16MP front camera, and a mammoth 5,000mAh battery. (more…)

LeEco Cool1 launch event is on the way

Cool1LeEco and Coolpad have been working closely on a flagship smartphone. The first teasers have been appearing over the last couple of weeks and have yet to confirm any specs.

What the teaser did confirm though is that we can expect some kind of dual-camera system to be featured on the smartphone.

The event will take place on August 16 in China and will announce the “LeEco Cool1”, a high end smartphone whose rumored specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, 5.5 inch QHD screen, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, a fingerprint sensor, Android 6.0 Marshmallow running under LeEco’s EUI skin. LeEco Le 2 excel in Drop & Bend video tests

LeEco-Le-2LeEco, formerly known as LeTV announced the LeEco Le 2 smartphone in China back in April and the device has been on sale since then. The device, which is also available in India and elsewhere at the moment, has received mixed reviews from users. Since the release, a few users have criticized the beautiful LeEco Le 2 for having a screen that cracks easily even just after a simple drop.

Subsequently, LeEco went back to the drawing board to chart up a solution to the fragile display problem. The Chinese  company then came out to announce that the display of the Le 2 has been reinforced in order to avoid such issues. (more…)

LeEco announced new device at June 29 event, the world’s first SD823

LeEco sd823LeEco (formerly LeTV) is holding a product launch event towards the end of this month (June 29 to be precise) in Shanghai, China. This was revealed by the Chinese company in a teaser.

While the teaser doesn’t reveal anything about the star of the event, reports say the company will be unveiling a new flagship smartphone. And it won’t be just another flagship – the phone in question is said to be the world’s first Snapdragon 821-powered device.

Now, in case you don’t already know, Qualcomm has reportedly already renamed SD821 to SD823. So by that logic, these new reports are inline with a rumor earlier this month that said LeEco will out a Snapdragon 823-powered smartphone in June. (more…)
