Huawei P10 spotted

Huawei P10Things have been moving along quite rapidly for the Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus. A few price leaks, followed by early renders were apparently enough to make the Chinese giant break the silence and tease the dual unveiling on February 26 at MWC. More renders and specs were quick to follow and now a GeekBench listing has also been uncovered, to reaffirm previous hunches.

From the looks of things, the Huawei P10 will have 4GB of RAM at its disposal and will ship with the latest Android 7 Nougat.

huawei-p8-lite-2017Huawei P8 Lite (2017) is the latest smartphone unveiled by the Chinese manufacturer and is coming soon in quite a few European markets. This new Lite model is strangely named as a successor to the two-year-old P8 Lite even though it also improves on the P9 Lite.

The new P8 Lite (2017) packs a 5.2″ IPS display of 1080p resolution and comes wrapped into a nicely looking glossy shell. The design is unlike anything in the P8 and P9 series, but very similar to a few Honor handsets of late. (more…)

Honor Note 8 is now official: 6.6″ QuadHD AMOLED

Honor Note 8The Honor Note 8 has been made official today in China, as promised about a week ago. The high-end phablet from Huawei’s sub-brand joins the likes of Xiaomi Mi Max and Lenovo Phab 2 Pro in an area where the ‘phone’ is starting to lose ground to the ‘tablet’.

The 6.6-inch Honor Note 8 is bigger than those two competitors by some 0.2″ in diagonal, and Huawei has picked 1,440 x 2,560 px as the proper resolution at this size. That results in a 443ppi pixel density by their own calculations – plenty sharp, then. (more…)

Honor Note 8 with 6.6-inch 2K display is coming

Honor-Note-8 A new Honor has been spotted on Chinese mobile regulator website, TENAA. The certification is for a device with the model number EDI-AL10, aka as the Honor Note 8.

The phablet is quite a massive one, with a 6.6-inch Quad HD (2K) 1440p OLED display, which means it is bigger than the Xiaomi Mi Max (6.44″). In fact, the teaser did mock the Mi Max. (more…)
