Nougat for Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ begins rolling in Europe

After Turkey, the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ has started receiving the Nougat update throughout Europe. Arriving as build number G928FXXU3CQC2, the update also brings along Android security fixes for the month of March as well as some regular bug fixes.

As is usually the case with OTA roll outs, it might take time for the update notification to pop up on your device’s screen. Meanwhile, if you feel impatient, you can manually check for the update by heading to your handset’s Settings menu.

New Google Docs update makes it easy to convert text to uppercase and lowercase

Google has pushed out a new update to its Docs application’s Web client, making it easy for users to convert text to uppercase and lowercase. The new features can be accessed by choosing Capitalization sub-menu from the Format menu.

As you can see in the screenshot above, in addition to ‘lowercase’ and ‘UPPERCASE’, there’s also an option called ‘Title Case’. This option allows you to capitalize the first letter of each word in your selection.

The update has begun rolling out, and should be available to everyone in the next few days.

Samsung Galaxy S6 series Nougat update will begin rolling in Canada on April 10

Canadian variants of the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, and S6 edge+ will start getting Nougat update in less than a couple of weeks from now. Specifically, carrier Telus will start rolling out the update to units on its network.

In addition to the new OS version, the update will also bring along new security patch as well as some regular bug fixes. Units on other Canadian carriers should also get the update sooner than later.

Nougat for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge started rolling out in Europe earlier this month. Recently, the S6 edge+ got the update in Turkey.

Pre-orders for Sony Xperia XZs and XA1 are now live in Malaysia

The Sony Xperia XZs and Xperia XA1 are now available to pre-order in Malaysia. Retailer DirectD has the phones listed on its website for RM 2,899 (around $655) and RM 1,199 (around 270), respectively.

Color options for the XZs include black, Ice blue, and Warm silver. Those pre-ordering the device will get freebies worth RM 697 (around $157), including SBH stereo Bluetooth headset, Sony quick charger, as well as a transparent silicon case with tempered glass.

Android Pay’s list of supported banks/credit unions updated with 51 new names

A total of 51 new US banks/credit unions have added support for Google’s mobile payments service Android Pay. The list includes 1st MidAmerica Credit Union, Alabama State Employees Credit Union, Bank Rhode Island, Citizens National Bank of Cheboygan, Dollar Bank, First Savings Bank, and Washington First Bank.
